What is Pickleball
Social Pickleball
Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports: the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications
We have social Pickleball at the following times:
Mondays 10.30am: Beginners Session
Mondays 3pm - 5pm & 5pm - 7pm: Courts available for hire
Mondays 7.15pm: Doubles Social Team Competition
Wednesdays: 10.30am: Social Session
Wednesdays 3pm - 5pm & 5pm - 7pm: Courts available for hire
Wednesdays 7.15pm: Doubles Social Team Competition
Thursdays 10.30am: Social Session
Thursdays 7pm: Social Session
Fridays: 5pm - 7pm Courts avaialble for hire
Most Sundays 2pm - 4pm: Social Session
Monday and Wednesday Pickleball Competition
Starting Date for 2026 Winter Competition is Monday 13th July and Wednesday 15th July. Entries Close Monday 29th June and Wednesday 8th July
The competition will be a Team Competition with teams made up of 4 players. It is sure to be lots of fun!
Mondays is aimed at the stronger/more experienced players with individual entries. These entries will then be graded and placed into teams in 3 grades (depending on numbers) Wednesdays is better for beignners to intermediate players and differs from Monday night in that you can enter a team of 4 (or as many players that you have up to a maximum of 4) or as an individual and we will place you into a team.

If you are a member of Ballarat Badminton/Ken Kay then you are eligible to enter/play.
We have Gender Doubles (Mens and Womens Doubles) on Saturday morning and Mixed
Doubles in the afternoon. Please complete the entry form below (please note the entry form has the gender doulbles on the left and mixed doubles on the right)
